IMPORTANT

  • Cisco Webex and Jabber Softphone support is available on Poly Lens Desktop 1.5 Windows only.
  • For Cisco Jabber to work seamlessly, any pre-existing version of Plantronics Hub must be uninstalled.
  • Cisco Jabber must be stopped before initiating install/upgrade to Poly Lens Desktop 1.5. Restart Cisco Jabber once the installation/upgrade of Poly Lens Desktop 1.5 is complete.
  • Poly Lens Desktop 1.5 ensures platform security for users and requires Admin privileges to install. Please ensure you have the privileges before you proceed with the installation/upgrade.
  • As an IT admin if you are using Microsoft Endpoint Management or SCCM to deploy and manage the version of Poly Lens Desktop application across your organization, we recommend updating your policy in the corresponding application to update and install Poly Lens Desktop 1.5. This will eliminate the need of admin permissions. Concurrently, if you are using Poly Lens Cloud, we recommend setting the Poly Lens Desktop Software policy to advertise the version 1.5 to the end users.

What’s New

Poly Lens Desktop 1.5 includes the following new feature; there are no updates or fixes with this release.

  • UC Integration: Added support for Cisco Webex and Jabber Softphones (Windows only).

Known Issues

  • When using the Cisco Webex softphone, toggling between an active call and a call on hold using a long press of the mute or call control button does not work; the active call remains active.
