Accounts (aka tenant) are the logical entity that maintains devices you have visibility over.

Friction-less Member (User) and Account Creation

Poly Lens is different from traditional Poly solutions where customers must first purchase a product from Poly before starting to use the service. Lens allows a customer to use the basic service for free and users can self-enroll and begin using the service immediately.

First-time Member Sign-up and Account Creation

When you initially sign-up as a Member Poly Lens will:

  • Create your member Account
  • Associate your member ID to this new account
  • When on-boarding devices, they are associated to this account, by default

Sharing Account Access with Other Users

To share access to the devices associated to your Account, you must open this Account and then invite the Member. For detailed information see Add New Account Member.

Scope of Data Display

If a member has access to multiple accounts, the default view is to access/view one account at a time. To display a different account, the member must switch accounts.

Account Basics

  • A device is associated with your account that is open when registered
  • A member can have access to multiple accounts
  • A device can only be associated with one account
  • A device can be deleted from one account and registered to another
  • Device Provisioning must be enabled in the Account to provision devices

Account Management

DetailsThe Details page allows you to view a summary of all devices and sites on this Account.
General SettingsThe General Settings page allows you to set the Account Name and Type.
Account MembersThe Account Members page allows you to manage all the members of this Account.
Device ProvisioningThe Device Provisioning page allows you to enable this feature on this Account.
NotificationsFor detailed information on Notifications, see the Notification Center section of this guide.
App DeploymentThe App Deployment page allows you to manage the Poly Lens Desktop and Lens Mobile association to Poly Lens, this includes Integration, Invitation of Users, and Download of app software.
IntegrationsThe Integrations section allows you to integrate services to automatically invite and allow access to new Poly Lens Desktop users into an Account upon login.

Audit LogsThe Audit Logs feature collects activities from Account Users in Poly Lens.

Change Accounts

If you have access to more than one account, you can easily switch between accounts with the account selector.

  1. Select the ACCOUNT menu from the Poly Lens menu bar. Note: The account that is currently open is displayed in this field of the menu bar.
  2. Click the down arrow next to the Account name, to display the list of accounts that you have access to.
  3. Select an Account from the list.
  4. Poly Lens will now display the information of the Account selected. Note: Only the associated inventory of the Account will display, this includes actions, policies, sites, rooms, users, and insights of this inventory.

Delete Account

As an Admin, you can delete an Account from Poly Lens. Note: Before you can delete an account, you must delete or remove all of its devices. see Delete Device.

To delete an Account from Poly Lens:

  1. Go to the ACCOUNT menu > Manage All Accounts.
  2. Select the check box of the Account to delete.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. Select Delete.
    Caution: Deleting this account will also delete all of its data. This action cannot be undone.
  5. Type DELETE to confirm, and select Delete.
  6. The Account is deleted and is no longer listed on the list of Accounts.
