Acoustic Events

Insight Reports provides a method to define parameters and gather data from the devices in your Account.

Requirements

The Insights Acoustic Events is a Poly Premium Premium Star icon feature, enabled by Poly+ or Poly+ Enterprise. Select the Learn More link to get details on this feature.

  • This feature requires Poly Lens Desktop version 1.3.0, or higher.
  • This feature works with SS0, Loginless, only on Lens Desktop Windows.
  • This feature supports only devices that support Acoustic Events.

Enable a Device for Acoustic Events

To generate an Acoustic Events Report, the device must support Acoustic Events and be enabled in the Policy.

Individual Device

  1. In the Poly Lens portal select Manage > Policies > Individual Device.

  2. Select a Lens Desktop device from the Device list.

  3. Select Advanced, and enable the Acoustic Event Reporting.

  4. Select Apply.

Account Device Models

  1. In the Poly Lens portal select Manage > Account > Device Models tab.
  2. Select a Lens Desktop device from the Device Model list.
  3. Select Advanced, and enable the Acoustic Event Reporting.
  4. Select Apply.

Acoustic Events Report

The Acoustic Events Report provides a history of acoustic events that occurred during conversations using select Poly products. Use the Date filter to narrow down your view events that started within a defined date range or switch the time zone with the toggle provided.

Create an Acoustic Events Report

  1. Go to the ACCOUNT menu and select your Account from the list.
  2. Select Insights > Reports.
  3. Select Acoustic Events from the side tab. Note: Requires Poly Plus Enterprise License to access.
  4. Set the Date Range to show available data.
  5. Select the Time setting ("your local time zone" or UTC).
    Note: The time setting button will display the abbreviation for your local time zone (MT, CT, etc.).
  6. The Acoustic Events information will display in the list. Acoustic Events are defined as a high level signal that meets certain pre-defined parameters – which could be loud sounds, very short electric bursts (aka clichés) and digital data clichés.
  7. Detailed information gathered on each acoustic event includes initial dB level, Actual dB which is the mitigated level experience by the user, Reduction dB which is the amount the headset reduced the noise level, Duration of event in seconds, limiter, as well as the time of the call start and end when the event happened.
