Diagnostics

To assist you in troubleshooting an issue with Poly Lens, a Diagnostics feature has been provided.

Retrieve Logs

The following process will allow you to download the log file for the device.
Note: The Poly G7500, Studio X30, and Studio X50 require Poly VideoOS version 3.4, to support this feature.

Devices Supported

  • Poly Trios
  • Poly CCX Series
  • Poly VVX Series
  • Poly G7500
  • Poly Studio X30 & X50

To Retrieve Logs

Note: To retrieve the log for a device, it must be online (green indicator).

  1. Go to Manage > Inventory.
  2. Select a device from the Device List.
  3. Select Troubleshooting > Diagnostics from the side tab.
  4. Select one of the following:
    • Download Last Fetched Log File - This will download the last log file that was retrieved the date in the Logs uploaded on field.
    • Fetch Logs - To retrieve the latest log files for the device.
  5. The log is downloaded and ready for your review.

Configure Logs

The following process will allow you to configure where the logs are stored.
Note: The Poly G7500, Studio X30, and Studio X50 require Poly VideoOS version 3.5, to support this feature.

To Configure Logs

Note: Saving logs to internal storage (flash) can cause wear and eventually device failure.
The system deletes all logs if you change the save location or the system experiences a sudden power loss.

  1. Go to Manage > Inventory.
  2. Select a device from the Device List. See note for supported devices above.
  3. Select Troubleshooting > Diagnostics from the side tab.
  4. Select Save Logs to Internal Storage.
    Note: This feature can be set on the device through the device System Web interface, by selecting Diagnostics > Logs > System Log Settings > Log to Flash Duration.
